South Korea launches UNFCCC Climate Week 2026 in Yeosu, spotlighting its Green Transformation (K–GX) strategy and climate action leadership.

South Korea is hosting the 2026 UNFCCC Climate Week in Yeosu, Jeollanam‑do Province, from 21 to 25 April 2026. The event forms part of the country’s K–GX International Week and aims to showcase Korea’s green‑transformation policies, climate technologies, and regional climate‑action initiatives. Approximately 1,000 climate experts, officials, and international delegates will attend, emphasizing Korea’s bid to strengthen its role as a carbon‑neutrality leader in the Asia–Pacific region. The Climate Week will also feature side events such as the 2026 World Climate Cities Forum, highlighting subnational climate leadership and practical implementation of the Paris Agreement goals.
