Risk of regional instability in the Middle East affecting Mongolia’s economy
Government warns that tensions in the Middle East could indirectly affect Mongolia’s economic relations and exports, especially to key Asian partners.
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development of Mongolia has stated that the ongoing tense situation in the Middle East poses a risk of an indirect impact on Mongolia’s economic relations with China and Russia, particularly regarding key export products. While the impact on economic relations with Middle Eastern countries is currently assessed as minimal, the government is monitoring the situation and considering measures to mitigate potential shocks to trade volumes and export revenues.
