Qatar slams Iranian attacks on Gulf energy facilities

Qatar condemns Iranian missile strikes on Ras Laffan LNG hub and other Gulf energy sites, warning of regional escalation and global energy security risks.

Qatar’s prime minister has condemned recent Iranian missile strikes on key Gulf energy infrastructure, including Qatar’s Ras Laffan liquefied natural gas hub, labeling the attacks a dangerous escalation and an act of sabotage. The government declared force majeure on parts of its LNG exports, underscoring the threat to regional stability and global energy markets. Doha has demanded an immediate halt to the attacks, called for renewed diplomatic efforts to stop the wider war, and warned that targeting civilian and energy facilities undermines international peace and security.
