The State of Kuwait issued a strong warning on Wednesday against Iran’s ongoing aggressive actions, stressing that global silence is no longer acceptable as the situation threatens regional stability. Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Nasser Al-Hain, delivered the statement during an emergency session of the UN Human Rights Council convened at the request of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Kuwait. Kuwait reiterated its call for international action to hold Iran accountable and prevent further escalation in the region.
