Algeria deeply concerned over DRC conflict resumption
Algeria expresses deep concern over the renewed conflict and escalation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and calls for restraint, de‑escalation and dialogue.
Algeria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs stated that the country is following with "deep concern" the resumption of the conflict and the escalation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The ministry urges all parties to exercise restraint and de‑escalation in order to create conditions for a responsible resumption of dialogue and negotiations aimed at establishing peace in the region. Algeria also endorses conclusions from special summits of the East African Community and the Southern African Development Community, calling for sincere and good‑faith dialogue among the parties to the conflict.
