IMF Andorra 2026 Article IV Economic Outlook Update

The IMF publishes a concluding statement on Andorra's 2026 Article IV review, highlighting robust growth, cautious fiscal management, and near‑full employment.

The International Monetary Fund released a staff concluding statement for its 2026 Article IV mission to the Principality of Andorra, summarizing the latest macroeconomic outlook. The Andorran economy continues to grow strongly, driven by financial services, real estate, and construction, with 2025 GDP growth estimated at 2.9 percent. Inflation eased to 2.4 percent in 2025 but ticked up to 3.1 percent in February 2026, mostly due to temporary factors, before an expected decline toward 2.0 percent by 2027. The government projects 2026 real GDP growth to moderate to about 2.3 percent, gradually converging toward 1.5 percent over the medium term. Public finances remain solid, with a central government surplus of 2.5 percent of GDP in 2025 and debt below 30 percent of GDP. The IMF notes that Andorra remains exposed to external shocks given its openness, euroization, and reliance on tourism and retail trade.
