New tuberculosis cases reported in Mongolia

Mongolia records over 2,800 new tuberculosis cases in 2025 including drug‑resistant forms and deaths.

Mongolia recorded 2,851 new tuberculosis (TB) cases in 2025, with 182 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health. Around 130 cases were identified as multidrug‑resistant TB. Health authorities emphasize early detection, timely diagnosis, and completed treatment to control transmission. Molecular diagnostics are deployed in 78 institutions nationwide, and AI‑based digital X‑ray diagnostics are being introduced. Vulnerable and low‑income populations remain at higher risk, and the government continues to scale up prevention and treatment efforts.
