Maldives refuses to allow territory use in Middle East or Gulf conflicts

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the Maldives will not permit its territory, including land, sea, or airspace, to be used in any capacity related to the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and the Gulf region. He emphasized that the country will not allow its territory to be utilized for military or warfare‑related purposes and reiterated opposition to such conflicts, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities while affirming the Maldives’ stance of non‑involvement.
