The Public Security Department conducted a major raid on drug traffickers’ hideouts in the eastern district of Ruwaished, near Jordan’s northeastern borders with Syria and Iraq. The operation led to the arrest of 33 individuals and the seizure of large quantities of Captagon, as well as 30 firearms, ammunition, a drug‑carrying drone, and vehicles used for smuggling and transporting illicit drugs. The PSD stressed that the raids targeted individuals linked to regional criminal networks and aimed to eliminate the threat these networks pose to national security.
