A ransomware attack on Japanese beverage giant Asahi Group Holdings led to the leak of over 115,000 sets of personal data.
A ransomware attack on Asahi Group Holdings in Japan caused a system glitch that forced the company to suspend production and shipments at most of its domestic plants. As a result of the attack, 115,513 sets of personal data were leaked. The incident also prompted the company to implement stronger detection and blocking measures, an internal information‑security organization, and enhanced employee education.
