The Somali statement detailed that Ethiopian troops from the Doolow district advanced towards the Bulo Xaawo district and were met by local residents and Somali Armed Forces who blocked their advance. The Somali government alleges a recurring pattern of Ethiopian conflict instigation and calls on the UN and African Union to condemn Ethiopia’s actions as undermining regional and international peace while affirming its readiness to defend Somalia’s sovereignty.
