Cybersecurity drill held at Seychelles banks

Seychelles financial institutions participate in cybersecurity exercise to test incident response and resilience against cyber threats.

Commercial banks in Seychelles took part in a cybersecurity drill aimed at testing their ability to detect, respond to and recover from cyberattacks. The exercise simulated real‑world scenarios such as phishing campaigns, ransomware attacks and network intrusions, allowing banks to validate their incident‑response playbooks and coordination with regulators. The drill was coordinated by the Central Bank of Seychelles and national cybersecurity partners to strengthen the financial sector’s cyber resilience ahead of anticipated increases in sophisticated cyber threats. No actual breaches were reported during the exercise.
