Digitised states at higher cyber risk, says report
Wealthier and more digitized Indian states face a higher volume of cyberattacks despite having better defenses.
A recent report highlights that richer, more digitalized Indian states such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana are more vulnerable to cyberattacks due to the higher volume of threats they attract. Although these states have advanced cybersecurity defenses, the sheer number of attacks increases their risk profile. In contrast, less wealthy states with weaker defenses experience fewer attacks. The report indicates that Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana offer the least cybercrime protection, while Rajasthan and Assam lead in security measures.
