The CBE’s latest Financial Stability Report highlights six major vulnerabilities requiring close monitoring and policy action. These include fiscal constraints, external uncertainties such as the possible non‑renewal of Eswatini’s AGOA eligibility, rising public debt, and domestic credit developments. If unmitigated, these risks could weaken the resilience of the banking, non‑bank, and household sectors, potentially leading to credit stress and reduced export competitiveness.
