The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan has confirmed a vesicular disease outbreak in cattle in the Jalilabad region. The Centre for Food Safety in Jalilabad tested 15 animals, of which 14 tested positive for the vesicular disease agent. One infected animal died. The Agency has accredited the tests and notified the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) about the outbreak. The reported incident is of concern for both livestock health and potential trade impacts.
