ANGOSAT-2, Angola's operational satellite, currently operates in three bands—KU, C, and KA—with the KA band not yet in use. The C band has less capacity but greater coverage, while the KU band has greater capacity but more limited coverage. The satellite has sold 90% of its C-band services and 36% of its KU-band services, but the economic return remains low at around $30 million against a $320 million investment. This underutilization raises concerns about the financial sustainability and strategic value of Angola's technological investments in space infrastructure.
