APS website targeted by severe cyberattacks

The official website of Algeria's national news agency APS has been blocked after a series of severe cyberattacks aimed at its online platform.

The site of the Algeria Press Service (APS) has been down since late Sunday, following a series of severe cyberattacks targeting its multilingual web platform. The attacks came from multiple locations, including Morocco, the Israeli‑occupied territories and some regions in Europe. APS took the site offline on a precautionary basis to prevent penetration of its databases. Technical measures have so far repelled the attacks, but the site remains temporarily blocked to safeguard editorial and archival data.
