According to a UN report, Georgia is forecast to be the fastest‑growing economy in the Caucasus region in 2026 with a projected growth rate of 5.4%, exceeding that of Armenia (4.8%) and Azerbaijan (2.7%). The report identifies tourism and construction as key drivers of Georgia’s economic activity in 2025. Rapid growth raises concerns about external imbalances, inflationary pressures, and vulnerability to external shocks, posing an economic threat to macroeconomic stability.
