Russian shadow fleet poses serious environmental threat to Baltic Sea - MEPs
Estonian and other MEPs warn that Russian shadow fleet operations pose a major environmental threat to the Baltic Sea.
Members of the European Parliament, including Estonian MEP Urmas Paet, sent an interpellation to the European Commission stressing that the Russian shadow fleet poses a significant environmental threat to the Baltic Sea and many member states. They are urging the Commission to prevent such vessels from navigating in the Danish straits to mitigate risks to marine ecosystems and coastal areas.
