Sri Lankan police have cracked down on an organised criminal gang involved in a large‑scale racket in which nearly 100 illegally assembled luxury vehicles were sold at low prices and subsequently stolen and resold. Eight members of the gang have been arrested in connection with the operation, which authorities describe as a major organised crime syndicate involved in vehicle fraud and theft.
