Russia launches large-scale drone strike on Dnipro

Russian forces unleashed a massive drone attack on Dnipro early Monday morning, targeting civilian infrastructure and residential areas, causing damage and casualties.

Ukrainian air defense units reported that Russia launched a concentrated wave of attack drones at Dnipro during the early hours of March 23, 2026. The strikes concentrated on industrial and residential districts, with several explosions reported across the city. Ukrainian officials confirmed multiple fatalities and a dozen injuries, while emergency crews responded to damaged buildings and fires. Kyiv’s military described the attack as part of Moscow’s broader pattern of targeting key industrial hubs and energy facilities to disrupt the Ukrainian war effort. The Ukrainian General Staff stated that the vast majority of incoming drones were intercepted, but the scale and intensity of the attack underscored renewed pressure on central Ukraine.
