On April 3, 2026, police officers from the Department for Combating Organized and Serious Crime, supported by the Special Anti‑Terrorist Unit “Tiger,” carried out an operational ambush along the “Friendship” highway near Gradsko. The operation targeted a transport of narcotic drugs—marijuana—and resulted in the seizure of a large quantity. Two individuals were deprived of liberty and are facing criminal charges for involvement in the trafficking. The Ministry of Interior highlighted this as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt organized crime drug‑smuggling networks operating on major transport routes.
