Grenada Eco Parade for Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign

Grenada hosts a vibrant eco-parade to tackle plastic pollution and promote community action against ocean plastics.

On April 7, 2026, Grenada held a colorful eco-parade in St. David’s Parish as part of the Commonwealth Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign. Organized by Caribbean Youth Environment Network Grenada with partners including the Olympic Committee Grenada and Commonwealth Sport, the event mobilized hundreds of school children in upcycled plastic costumes to raise awareness about plastic pollution. The parade followed a successful waste collection drive across eight schools that diverted over 2,300 plastic items from entering waterways, highlighting local commitment to cleaner oceans.
