Iranian attack on Nakhchivan with drones
Iranian forces launched drone attacks on the Nakhchivan exclave of Azerbaijan, injuring four civilians and prompting a strong diplomatic and military response from Baku.
Iranian drones struck the Nakhchivan territory of Azerbaijan, damaging civilian infrastructure and wounding four civilians. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense condemned the attack as a violation of international law and a threat to Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity. President Ilham Aliyev convened the Security Council, called Iran's action an act of treachery, and stated that Azerbaijan reserves the right to take retaliatory measures under international law.
