Kuwaiti security forces have arrested a criminal gang comprised of Arab nationals involved in extensive online banking fraud, forgery, and money laundering.
Kuwaiti security forces have arrested a criminal gang of Arab nationals engaged in large‑scale online banking fraud, including forgery and money laundering. The gang operated an online platform for fraudulent phone calls to steal victims’ funds, which they then laundered through the purchase and resale of mobile phones. Initial investigations indicate that the suspects laundered approximately KD 6 million in one month and KD 100 million since 2023 through shell companies. Law enforcement seized KD 108,000 and nine mobile phones linked to the fraud.
