WHO Country Cooperation Strategy launch in North Macedonia

North Macedonia launches its first WHO Country Cooperation Strategy (2026–2030) at a high‑level government ceremony attended by national and WHO leaders.

The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the World Health Organization launched North Macedonia’s first WHO Country Cooperation Strategy (CCS) for the period 2026–2030. The signing ceremony took place at the Government Building in Skopje and brought together top national authorities, including the Prime Minister and the Minister of Health, as well as WHO leadership from the European Region and the WHO Representative in North Macedonia. The CCS aims to guide health sector transformation by aligning national priorities with WHO’s support, strengthening strategic planning, multisectoral engagement and whole‑of‑government cooperation. Officials hailed the strategy as a model for strategic alignment within the WHO European Region and a milestone in strengthening public health governance and health‑system resilience in North Macedonia.
