The emergency decree is effective for 60 days and imposes strict movement and biosecurity controls within a 10‑kilometer radius of the affected farm to prevent further spread of the virus. Officials emphasize that the disease is not transmitted through properly handled poultry meat or eggs and that measures are being implemented in line with the national contingency plan for avian influenza.
