EU disburses €189 million Growth Plan payment to Moldova
The European Commission released a €189 million tranche for Moldova after confirming fulfillment of 24 reform indicators linked to economic governance, energy markets, and digitalization.
The European Commission made its second regular €189 million payment under the EU Growth Plan for Moldova, following an assessment that the country met 24 additional reform indicators. Key reforms include reducing the administrative burden for businesses, strengthening cybersecurity and emergency response, advancing digitalization of public services, improving budgetary transparency, and reinforcing anti‑fraud, asset recovery, and judicial systems. The payment also supports the launch of national electricity and balancing markets and expanded use of renewable energy.
