Criminal activities such as motorcycle theft, house break-ins, and violent attacks have reportedly increased, particularly during evening and night hours. Residents claim that even when suspects are arrested, complainants often must pay up to 2,000 South Sudanese pounds to pursue the case. A local police post established to serve the area shut down due to lack of food for personnel and unpaid salaries, leaving the community more exposed to attacks.
