The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors has approved US$35 million (approximately WST 94.89 million) in new financing for Samoa to significantly strengthen its capacity to prepare for, withstand, and recover from climate and technology‑related shocks. The project includes components aimed at enhancing digital governance, cybersecurity preparedness, and resilient ICT infrastructure, which are critical to safeguarding Samoa’s emerging digital economy and public services against cyber threats and system failures.
