Seychelles government concerned with ongoing conflict in Sudan

Seychelles issues a formal statement expressing concern over the ongoing conflict in Sudan and its humanitarian consequences.

The Seychelles government, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has issued an official press communique expressing deep concern over the ongoing conflict in Sudan and the resulting humanitarian crisis. The statement strongly condemns the use of violence and calls for an immediate end to hostilities between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which have resulted in hundreds of civilian deaths, mass displacement, and the destruction of critical infrastructure. Seychelles aligns its position with the African Union and the United Nations, urging all parties to engage in constructive dialogue and respect ceasefire agreements mediated by these bodies. The government also calls on the international community to support Sudan in finding a just and lasting solution and to ensure unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid.
