The National Center for Epidemiology, Prevention and Control of Diseases issued Epidemiological Alert AE-CDC No. 004-2026 to coordinate surveillance, training, and public health interventions. Authorities are focusing on early detection, rapid treatment, and community outreach to limit transmission, particularly in high‑risk areas affected by heavy rains and flooding. The ministry is also reinforcing sanitation and rodent‑control measures to reduce exposure to contaminated water and soil.
