Kenya International Investment Conference Seals Multiple Deals in Nairobi

Kenya hosts flagship investment forum in Nairobi, targeting Sh260 billion in new foreign and domestic investments across key growth sectors.

Kenya launched the Kenya International Investment Conference (KIICO) 2026 in Nairobi on 25 March 2026, aiming to secure over USD 2 billion (approximately KSh 260 billion) in investment commitments. The event focuses on advanced‑stage projects in agriculture, manufacturing, renewable energy, ICT, business process outsourcing, textiles and apparel, and the creative economy. Government officials highlighted reforms on VAT refunds, transfer pricing, land leasing and incentives for export processing and special economic zones to improve the investment climate. The conference also aligns with new trade agreements, including duty‑free access for Kenyan agricultural products such as avocados and coffee to China, following the first shipment on 23 March 2026.
