Iran‑linked missile and drone strikes on UAE

Iran has launched repeated missile and drone attacks on UAE cities over several weeks, targeting military and civilian infrastructure and causing casualties and fires.

Iran has carried out a sustained campaign of ballistic missile and drone strikes on the United Arab Emirates over recent weeks, targeting UAE and allied military installations in Abu Dhabi and Dubai as well as nearby civilian infrastructure. UAE air defences have intercepted most incoming projectiles, but debris and at least some failed intercepts have impacted residential and commercial areas, killing several civilians and injuring scores. Attacks have damaged or disrupted key sites such as the Burj Al Arab and Al Dhafra Air Base, sparked fires on the Palm Jumeirah, and caused structural damage to hotels and other buildings. The strikes are part of a broader regional escalation following US‑Israeli strikes on Iran.
