Grenada reporting increase in sexual transmitted infections
Significant increase in reported sexually transmitted infections across Grenada.
Health officials in Grenada report a significant increase in reported cases of sexually transmitted infections, including genital discharge syndrome associated with infections like gonorrhea, chlamydia and trichomoniasis. The epidemiological report for Week 13 shows 125 cases of various STIs, compared to 71 cases for the same period in 2024. No significant changes were noted in HIV/AIDS numbers.
