Former Vietnam Rubber Group general director arrested over land irregularities
Former general director of Vietnam Rubber Group and eight others arrested for alleged violations of land management and use regulations and causing losses to state assets.
Le Quang Thung, former general director and former acting chairman of Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG), has been arrested along with eight others over alleged violations of land management and use regulations. The Ministry of Public Security’s Police Department for Crimes Related to Corruption, Economy and Smuggling launched criminal proceedings against these individuals for violating regulations on the management and use of state assets, causing losses and wastefulness at VRG and related entities. The case is part of broader efforts to investigate and prosecute corruption and economic crimes involving large‑scale misuse of state property.
