A VND38.5‑trillion project has been proposed to address serious environmental pollution and bring the aging Bac Hung Hai irrigation system in the Red River Delta up to modern standards. The system currently suffers from contamination and degraded water quality, which threatens agricultural productivity and local ecosystems. The project would combine pollution‑cleanup measures with infrastructure upgrades to improve water management and environmental conditions in the heavily farmed Red River Delta zone.
