New WHO‑Jordan health training initiative launched in Amman

Jordan and the World Health Organization have launched a series of health capacity‑building workshops in Amman and Irfid aimed at strengthening outbreak response and primary care systems.

Jordan’s Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization have kicked off a multi‑week series of in‑person workshops and trainings in Amman and Irbid, focusing on epidemiological surveillance, infection prevention, and primary healthcare strengthening. The initiative targets frontline health workers and aims to improve early detection of communicable diseases and coordination during health emergencies. Officials emphasize that the program will bolster Jordan’s role as a regional hub for medical evacuation and humanitarian health support, particularly in the context of ongoing regional crises and cross‑border patient flows.
