Cyberattacks force 'Post' to curb platforms' access
The Bangkok Post has implemented temporary country-based access restrictions on its Facebook page and digital platforms due to coordinated cyberattacks and information operations.
The Bangkok Post's website and Facebook page have come under a coordinated information operations campaign and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, including a wave of malicious automated comments and more than 250 million automated hits over two days. These actions disrupted access to the newspaper's online platforms, prompting the company to temporarily restrict access by country to mitigate further damage and align with government warnings about intensified IO linked to the Thai–Cambodian border conflict.
