Global biopharmaceutical company UCB, Inc. has announced a $2 billion investment to establish its first U.S. pharmaceutical biologics manufacturing facility in Georgia. The project will be located at the Rowen Foundation’s 2,000-acre science and learning campus in Gwinnett County and is expected to generate about 330 new jobs over several years. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp highlighted the project as a major boost to the state’s life sciences and advanced manufacturing sectors. The new facility will enhance Georgia’s position as a hub for biopharma and strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem, bringing high‑skilled employment and advanced research opportunities to the Atlanta metropolitan area.
