Tuvalu health department launches typhoid vaccination campaign
Tuvalu's Department of Health initiated a nationwide typhoid vaccination campaign targeting individuals aged 9 months to 65 years.
In February 2024, the Tuvalu Department of Health launched a typhoid vaccination campaign funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and UNICEF. The campaign aims to vaccinate people between the ages of 9 months and 65 years, in an effort to reduce typhoid incidence and strengthen public health security in the country.
